Afterwards the overhaul was great but the air conditioner didnt work anymore. When they looked it they said the compressor had gone out. So they did a great job repairing that also.

"In my 40 years of car buying experience with various car dealers - my experience with Doug Smith Chevrolet was the BEST Ive ever had! (I used to joke Id rather have a root canal than buy a car again.) I wanted my retirement car to be the one I could enjoy for many years. I started researching other cars but was disappointed in the direction car makers were going. My family has owned Camaros beginning in 1967 with the first generation and I turned my attention to them again. In May 2023 it was nearly impossible to find an available Camaro 2SS equipped the way I wanted in my first choice of color that wasn't already snatched up in the transit process. I was feeling discouraged. When I looked again and found one In Transit to Doug Smith Chevrolet I reached out. James responded immediately and provided exceptional customer service. Waiting one week for the car to arrive seemed endless, yet, James called or emailed every day with status updates of the cars location. James' positive attitude buoyed my spirits. The car arrived earlier than expected and hearing James voice saying Its here! was indescribable. When arriving at the dealership to finalize the purchase, I was greeted by many others who were as excited as I was to purchase my Camaro. Everyone was friendly and professional. The salesman was very polite but lacked sufficient knowledge to point out some differences between the car we were trading in and the one we ultimately bought. We discovered the differences once we got home and would have made a different selection had we known these features were missing. I stopped by the dealer the day after our purchase to drop off the title for the car we traded in and mentioned to the salesman our dissatisfaction with our purchase and he never mentioned that we could make an exchange. Other dealerships advertise such policies in their advertisements and I'm not sure Doug Smith has such a policy or that the salesman was just unaware. Had he mention it we would have made the exchange and paid the difference in the price. Additionally, we traded in a paid-for car and were going to pay cash for the difference. It should have been simple process but we were there for what seemed like forever while the finance guy had us fill out a credit app so he could run our credit!! Then tried to sell us all the other aftermarket stuff-- I found this very ANNOYING. Between myself, my family and my business we have bought 6 vehicles in the last 5 years. When it comes time to buy another car or truck, I'm not sure I'll come back to this dealer.

I ordered the vehicle online. I am not sure I would go through this process again. It felt like I had no control after clicking the button. I was told it would deliver in July at the earliest and I was preparing for that date. They called on January 23 and said it would be here in a couple weeks. Where I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon I wasn't prepared financially to make the purchase the way I wanted to. To reduce the amount of the loan, i tried trading in a vehicle. The offer was pathetically low so I kept it and will sell it on my own. In short I ended up financing the vehicle for more that I usually do and more than I am comfortable with. Typically when purchase a new vehicle I wait till there are incentives available. Again through this process there was no control on my part of when and how the transaction takes place. Over the years I have purchased 10 new vehicles most of them GM models and this is my least favorite purchasing experience. Love the Tahoe, hated the purchasing experience!

Went to have get a recall fixed. The parts were in stock and I was able to a day to get it done during the next week. Since buying the truck new I have had water leaking in onto the floor mat under the drivers feet after rain storms. I asked them to take a look and they found a grommet that wasn't seated properly which they fixed. While the truck was there the mechanics reviewed the vehicle service record and recommended servicing the transmission which I approved. They also updated some computer settings. I appreciate that they took initiative to identify these problems so we could get them fixed before they became bigger problems. Got them all done the same day.

After installing the seat heater chip they left the driver side window down (it is winter) and it was raining when I picked up the truck. It was not raining hard but the interior close to the door was wet. Also, the hold was not completed closed and the sensor let me know so I had to get out of the car and close the hood completely.

I have brought my truck in for a recall twice now. The first time I had an oil change done as well, it took 3.5 hours to change the engine oil and for the service department to figure out that they didnt even order the recalled parts. I had scheduled this appointment 1 month in advance. Two weeks later I called to see about parts and getting the recall done and was told the parts were in stock so I scheduled a time to bring it in. 3 hours later they called and told me they had ordered the wrong parts. Sadly, they dont know the difference between a 2500 and a 3500 truck. Its not a good feeling that the dealership doesnt know how to order parts for the vehicles it sells. On top of all this the service dept people are rude and very indifferent about whether your vehicle even gets serviced.
