We brought our Tahoe over for service as it said the driver assist system needed service. We knew the front sensor wasn’t working. Just needed to get it replaced. When we bought the vehicle we also added a number of warranties from National auto care to cover things like this, only to find out that this wasn’t covered. So the dealership called and said it wasn’t covered and it would be $660 to replace. We were a little shell shocked, first because our warranties didn’t cover it but also because of the cost and the fact that we lost our main source of income recently so it wasn’t in the budget to replace. The car functions fine without it so we decided to wait. We drove over to pick it up only to have them charge us $200!!!! For what?! To plug it in to a system and tell them the same thing we already knew? There was no work performed on the car. We have never in our lives paid a diagnostic fee on a vehicle and we’ve owned a lot of vehicles. Maybe this is a new thing but it is completely dishonest and unethical to charge that kind of fee to plug a car in for a moment and get a code. You’ve lost someone who would have been a lifetime customer for service but we will never go to any Doug Smith again unless this is rectified. Thank you.

Doug Smith was able to get my car in for a recall right away when I called. They did tell me my brake pads were in need of replacement, but we do most all of our own maintenance. I did just get new tires 2 months ago and the tire shop didn't mention the worn brakes, so I did appreciate Doug Smith telling me that.
